From Charlotte: Take I-85 South toward Gastonia. Take exit 27 for NC 273 toward Belmont/Mount Holly. Turn left on Beatty Drive/Park Street. Drive straight for two miles on Beatty Drive/Park Street/Keener Boulevard (name changes twice). Turn left at South Central Avenue. South Central Avenue turns into South Point Road. First UMC Belmont is approximately 0.6 miles on the left from the turn onto Central. Take the first driveway into the church (see small, white sign that says "Entrance"), at 807 South Point Road. Counseling office is in the education/office building on the left (closest to the road) from the staff/visitor parking lot. The waiting area is immediately on the right as you enter; the office is at the end of the hallway.

From Charlotte, take I-77 north to exit 18 (Harris Blvd.). Turn left on Harris Blvd. and go 1.5 miles to the stoplight at Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road. Turn right, and the church is about a tenth of a mile up on the right.

Credentials

Rev. Davis is a North Carolina Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and an ordained elder in the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church. She is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and Chi Sigma Iota (Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society). Prior to working as a pastoral counselor, Rev. Davis was a Board Certified Chaplain (Association of Professional Chaplains) having worked at Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville and Gaston Memorial Hospital.

Education

Rev. Davis received her Master of Counseling degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She holds a Master of Divinity degree from Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, VA, and completed her undergraduate work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Rev. Davis did her clinical pastoral education at UNC Hospitals and Virginia Commonwealth University. Clinical experience includes work with Presbyterian Hospital (Charlotte and Huntersville), Gaston Memorial Hospital, and Catholic Social Services of the Charlotte Diocese. She has been with Sanctuary Counseling Group since 2010.

Specialties

Rev. Davis works with adults and adolescents. She specializes in working with clients struggling with grief and loss, depression, anxiety, marriage issues, life transitions, and finding meaning in life. She has experience in the areas of mood disorders, adjustment disorders, caregiver support, premarital counseling, faith development, and self-esteem improvement.
