From Charlotte, on I-77 going north, take exit #28 (Cornelius) and turn right onto Catawba Ave. Turn left on Hwy 115, which becomes Main St. in Davidson. After the railroad tracks, go 1/2 mile and turn right into the Davidson UMC parking lot.

From Statesville, on I-77 going south, take exit #30 (Davidson, Davidson College) and turn left onto Griffith St. Turn right onto Main St., with the Davidson College sign in front. After 2 blocks, turn left into the Davidson UMC parking lot.

The counseling center is in the brick house next to the church.

Credentials

Shannon White is a North Carolina Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Shannon has worked in multiple environments including community mental health, residential treatment and within church settings. Shannon is also in the process of receiving her certification as a Registered Play Therapist.

Education

Shannon received her Masters Degree in Community Counseling in 2007 from Denver Seminary in Littleton, Colorado. She received her Bachelor's degree from Appalachian State University in Sociology with a concentration in Marriage and Family along with a minor in Psychology.

Specialties

Shannon sees adults, couples, adolescents and children. She specializes in the area of depression, anxiety, women's issues and divorce recovery. She also specializes in working with children and teens by utilizing play therapy including artwork and sandtray techniques. Shannon has led a variety of groups including social skills for children and teen groups.
